There are many reasons why some people prefer the Home Visit service.
Many people like the idea of their family member staying in the comfort of their own home and having someone coming to the house daily to keep an eye on things.
It may be that their pet is not vaccinated for various reasons or maybe an emergency has arisen and they find that their vaccinations are out of date and cannot place them in a cattery for legal reasons. ( All cats must be vaccinated for Feline Enteritis and Cat flu according to the Environmental Health Laws before coming into a cattery).
What does the Home Visit include.
I call once a day to feed, change litter trays and play and fuss your pet.
Whilst I am there in the summer, I will water patio containers, hanging baskets and indoor plants, take newspapers, circulars, post and parcels in and put a light on in a room at intervals during weeks of the visit to give the appearance of movement in the house. In the winter months I check to see that there are no burst pipes as well, taking emergency measures if there is. I will also put dustbins out on the appropriate day. If there are any other requests such as feeding fish or other pets then this can be discussed and arranged.
