My name is Jackie and I have been running my cattery for 11 years.
Cats have always been very much part of my life from the time I was a child.
I used to breed British Short Haired Blue/blue-creams and white cats and now have 2 cats that are all rescue.
One, Bilbo, is from a litter of 4 that my husband and I hand reared from a day old. All survived and we had to keep one for all the work involved.
Then we have Tosca. Born under a hedge in the wild, ran out under a car age 4 months and was concussed, taken to the vets, regained his health and the staff asked me if I would take him. One look and I was hooked. Then there is Hugo. Bullied by cats in his own area and so came to live with us. Here they all are below. Come and meet them!
After breeding British-shorthaired cats I worked for 3 years in a 55 run F.A.B approved cattery and then went on to work for local vets taking on the job of hand-rearing their abandoned kittens and working in the reception area where I got to meet all the animals and their owners. I also work very closely with Cats Protection, helping to care for them and rehome those who have had a bad start in life, so if you are wanting to adopt a cat that needs a home do get in touch.
